Tenant Alteration Guidelines

Please contact the Property Management Office to assist with the approval and coordination of construction and/or alterations to tenant space. All modifications to the tenant's space (carpentry, electrical, etc.) arranged by the tenant must be approved by the Property Management Office prior to the start of work. The Durst Organization's Approved Contractor List, Insurance Requirements, Building Standards and Tenant Alteration Guidelines are all available for download. Please note that all construction or alterations need to be filed with the New York City Department of Buildings. All necessary permits, inspections and signoffs must be acquired in advance of construction.

The Durst Organization participates in closed-loop recycling for ceiling tiles and carpet for renovation work in all of its properties. This effort not only diverts waste from landfills but prevents the need to harvest natural resources for new building products. During alterations of tenant space, the Property Management Office can arrange for you to take advantage of closed-loop recycling for these specific materials. We encourage you to consider transforming your old ceiling tiles and carpet into new building products.
